About The Position
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Material Handler will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Efficient and accurate movement of materials in and outside of plants
Rig, hoist and move materials to and from the processing department
Assist in the movement of material in the plant/property by use of crane, forklift, tow motor, etc.
Ensure safe work practices are adhered to
Load planning and building
Loads and unloads trailers, as required, to Walters standards
Ensure all tools and equipment are operated with care
Accurately fill out all required paperwork and ensure records remain up to date
Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned
Work Location
Hamilton, ON
Working condition is primarily outdoors
Position Requirements
Previous experience operating all‑terrain forklifts and overhead cranes strongly preferred
Previous experience organizing shipping documents
Strong problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Able to work independently
Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures
