Position: Mechanical Technician Needed at SJHH
Join St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton as a Mechanical Technician. This full-time role involves comprehensive maintenance of systems, equipment, and machinery across various sites.

As a Mechanical Technician, your responsibilities will include installing, inspecting, and repairing multiple mechanical systems. A Building Maintenance Mechanic certificate or equivalent is required, along with two years of relevant experience. You will work both inside and outside the facility, handling tools and equipment while assisting fellow tradespeople as needed. Safety regulations will be critical in ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain pumps, conveyor systems, and plumbing

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance

• Use tools for servicing equipment effectively

• Collaborate with tradespeople on tasks

• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations

Requirements:

• Certification in a relevant mechanical trade

• At least 2 years’ experience in maintenance

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and welding

• Ability to interpret technical manuals

• Physically able to perform heavy lifting
