Millwright

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Millwright to join a stable, global leader in industrial manufacturing at their facility in Hamilton.

This role is vital to optimizing the availability, quality, and speed of high-speed automated production lines by maintaining both mechanical and electrical subsystems.

The ideal candidate will be a strong, full-cycle troubleshooter capable of diagnosing complex issues independently and executing standard-setting repairs. You will join a dedicated day‑shift team comprising a Maintenance Lead, fellow technicians, and a tool and die maker.

• Diagnose, isolate, and execute repairs on complex, high-speed automated production equipment.
• Adhere to strict preventative maintenance schedules in collaboration with operations to minimize downtime and eliminate unnecessary overtime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot automated production lines (including multi-equipment linked conveyor systems), ensuring proper functionality of sensors and input/output systems.
• Inspect plant equipment regularly, log findings, and input structured work orders into an electronic CMMS system.
• Foster a rigid Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) culture. Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding programs.
• Attend shift crossover meetings to discuss ongoing machinery concerns, partner with production teams, and coordinate with external vendors when specialized support is needed.

• Valid 433A Millwright License
• Extensive experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments—specifically heavy steel production involving stamping presses, roll forming, extrusion, or thread cutting
• Automation & PLC Proficiency:
  Proven ability to read and understand Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic, specifically Allen Bradley systems.
• Must understand how sensors interact with PLCs to track and isolate faults across linked systems
