Journeyperson Powerline Technician

As part of DDP Technology’s new Line Division, this role calls for an experienced Powerline Technician committed to safety and quality. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting, maintaining, and constructing overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. You'll also play a vital part in mentoring apprentices, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and maintain overhead electrical systems up to 6 kV

• Erect power line structures and perform live line work

• Test circuits and operate vehicles safely to maintain systems

• Conduct maintenance on high-voltage equipment

• Assist in training Apprentice Powerline Technicians

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certification (Red Seal required)

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License (AZ or DZ preferred)

• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and legislation

• Physically capable of heavy lifting and working at heights

• Current criminal record check and acceptable driver’s abstract
