Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hamilton, ON for Shop Service Technicians/Road Service Technicians. In this position, team members inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of industrial, commercial, and construction equipment in the shop and at customer sites. Daily tasks include performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, completing service reports, and ensuring all work meets company safety and quality standards.

Technicians interact with customers to explain equipment issues, provide service updates, and support safe equipment operation. The role also involves coordinating with the rental operations team, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and responding to field service calls as needed.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for industrial, commercial, and construction equipment.
  • Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
  • Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including working independently at customer sites and managing on-road service calls.
  • Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, build trust, and provide professional support to clients.
  • Relevant technical certification or apprenticeship in heavy equipment, diesel mechanics, or a related trade is an asset.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe lifting practices is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and ability to operate service vehicles as required.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with team members.
