Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator

Take on a critical role with the City of Hamilton as a Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator. This position involves hands-on operation of treatment facilities under varying environmental conditions.

As part of a dedicated team, you will perform operational duties across water and wastewater facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations. You will be responsible for operating equipment and monitoring processes while offering direction to other staff. Your expertise will contribute to the city's goal of maintaining optimal water quality and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor treatment facility equipment

• Adjust processes for optimal performance and compliance

• Conduct sampling and testing of water

Requirements:

• Valid Operator-in-Training license in relevant areas

• Experience in water and wastewater treatment

• Basic mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge

• Class “G” driver's license

• Ability to work shifts and independently
