Become a crucial player as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic dedicated to troubleshooting and maintaining propane, gasoline, and diesel-powered yard equipment. Ensure compliance and efficiency in all mechanical operations.

This mechanic role emphasizes maintaining equipment like snorkel lifts and yard cranes while also managing the upkeep of yard trucks. You will actively document inventory and communicate with purchasing regarding parts shortages. Daily interaction with team members will ensure all operational needs are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct safety compliance checks for maintenance activities

• Diagnose and repair cranes and lifts in the yard

• Maintain the functionality of company yard trucks

• Keep accurate records of inventory levels

• Assist with mechanical issues for ships and tugboats

Requirements:

• Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician (421A) License is preferred

• Be a legal age to work in Ontario and a registered citizen

• Graduate with an equivalent of Grade Twelve Diploma

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members

• Strong attention to detail in inventory management
