Your role as a Senior Fitter will focus on assembling and fitting structural steel assemblies, operating welding equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety practices. You will have the opportunity to share your expertise with apprentices while participating in a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fabricate, assemble, and fit structural steel components
• Rig and hoist materials to workstations safely
• Lay out reference points according to blueprints
• Operate welding equipment for metal fusion
• Mentor apprentices and junior fitters throughout tasks
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of fitting structural steel experience
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program preferred
• Ability to read blueprints accurately
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
• Strong organizational and communication skills
