Evaluate and repair Flygt submersible wastewater pumps as a Level 1 Shop Technician at Xylem, using mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Xylem seeks a Shop Technician Level 1 for branch-location work in an industrial shop environment. You will test pumps, operate shop equipment, use hand and power tools, and maintain accurate work-order records. Product-specific training is provided.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and repair submersible wastewater pumps
- Conduct mechanical and electrical pump testing
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely
- Record work accurately in Xylem’s management system
- Maintain an organized, safe working environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero to two years of technical work experience
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
