Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG, Fitter
Bring Red Seal millwright credentials to Agnico Eagle’s Detour Lake Mine, supporting mining maintenance with piping repair and mobile equipment skills.
Reporting to the Process Plant Mechanical Supervisor, this Millwright position contributes to production targets in the Process Plant. You will complete work orders, apply advanced mechanical analysis, and address day-to-day equipment issues. The work includes operating designated mobile equipment, supporting commissioning, improving procedures, and promoting a strong safety and environmental culture. The schedule is 14 days on and 14 days off, with accommodations and meals provided on site.
Key Responsibilities:- Document work orders and communicate equipment issues
- Repair process plant piping and mechanical equipment
- Safely operate forklifts, man lifts, and small cranes
- Assist with commissioning installations and modifications
- Participate in world-class safety performance activities
- Ontario provincial or inter-provincial Red Seal certificate
- Five years’ industrial or mining maintenance experience
- Ability to interpret blueprints is an asset
- Welder certification is an asset
- Experience at remote work sites is an asset
Use certified millwright skills, mechanical analysis, and equipment maintenance experience to support Detour Lake Mine operations safely.
