** Salary:** £41.959 - £43,136 per year Housing & Technical Resources require an experienced Electrician (OOHS) to support the delivery of various works programmes within the out of hours service and will be based at Pollock Avenue during their shift’s periods to respond to emergency calls.
To provide a 7-day emergency service there will be 2 teams, each consisting of 9, which will work a continuous rotational system (4 days on followed by 4 days off) as listed below:
• Team 1 works 4 days (Team 2 will be on 4 days’ rest period).
• Team 2 works 4 days (Team 1 will be on 4 days’ rest period).Shifts will be a rotating pattern of 4 days working and 4 days’ rest period. The hours for each shift will be:
• Monday to Friday 12.00pm to 11.45pm
• Saturday & Sunday will be 2 staggered shifts:
• Early shift 08:15 to 19:45
• Late Shift 13:15 to 00:45
You will have a flexible approach to managing varied workloads as you will be required to carry out all plumbing duties with South Lanarkshire Council portfolio.
You will be time-served with trade qualifications SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds within your relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate sound practical technical competencies in delivering high quality of workmanship in all aspects of your trade. You should display experience of working within both commercial and domestic properties within the construction industry.
You should demonstrate a commitment to the principals of customer care, while displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working to targets and pre-determined timescales along with an awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
