Job Overview
We are a top national contractor with over 100 years of experience, seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee construction projects from conception to completion. This role may involve minor travel to client sites for meetings.
Job DetailsSalary: $120,000 - $165,000 per year.
Work schedule:
4/10. Travel: minor, client site visits only. Must adhere to all legal requirements, building and safety codes, and quality standards.
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Review the work progress on a daily basis.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Work closely with governmental agencies on permits and site inspections.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' proven working experience in construction project management.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages.
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Proven experience in contract management and quality control.
- Strong leadership and human resources management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
