Qualifications- Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Earth, Physical or Biological Science or Subject Matter Specialization - Science Grades 5-8)
- Ability to conduct/facilitate laboratory investigations
- Knowledge/Experience with modeling and inquiry-based science instruction
- Knowledge/Experience with Open Sci Ed (a plus)
- Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards (e.g., Next Generation Science Standards)
- Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for science (e.g., NJSLA)
- Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction
- Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching - a plus
- Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
- Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members
- Bilingual (a plus)
- As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level
- Minimum $67,968 - maximum $99,181
In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
