Teacher of Social Studies grades 6-8Requirements
- Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Social Studies or Subject Matter Specialization in Social Studies 5-8)
- Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards for Social Studies
- Knowledge/Experience with Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)
- Willingness to work collaboratively with fellow department members
- Willingness to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Understands importance of utilizing primary sources and various literacy strategies (within the social studies classroom)
- Background with implementation of Google Apps for Education (to enhance teaching and learning)
- Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
- Bilingual (a plus)
School Year
Salary- As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level
- Minimum $67,958 - maximum $99,181
In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package:
including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
