Pay Range: $76,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate‘s educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Evaluates autistic patient’s psychotherapeutic needs and provides psychotherapy, behavioral support, and caregiver education/support for outpatient autistic populations under age 5, as indicated.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Master’s Degree

• NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

• AHA BLS Provider Certification

• Tact, initiative and judgment in performance of duties

• Minimum one-year of experience working with children under five years old and their caregivers

Preferred:

• Experience with young children diagnosed with autism

• Familiarity with parenting programs for parents of young children with autism

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

• NJ LCSW

• AHA BLS Provider Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full Time

• Evening and Weekend onsite work

Essential Functions:

• Collaborates with developmental pediatrician or other diagnostician and caregiver to identify treatment goal

• Provides effective individual, family group psychotherapy as indicated with emphasis on parenting of young children with autism or related issues

• Identifies and assists with linkage to community supports as needed

• Identifies realistic goals for psychotherapy

• Attends program development and case conferences as indicated for patients treated or evaluated

• Provides in-services to staff and community agencies as requested by Supervisor

• Disseminates findings accurately and sensitively, according to Department policy

• Provides supervision to staff, fellows, interns and externs as indicated

• Provides effective team consultation as needed
