Senior Data Testing Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Testing Engineer with a strong business and domain understanding of wealth management platforms and a passion for data quality and automation. This is a hands‑on role focused on understanding how the business operates, how financial products behave, and how data flows across systems, and then translating that understanding into effective automated data tests.

• Develop strong functional understanding of wealth management products, including accounts, positions, holdings, transactions, balances, statements, fees, performance, valuations, and corporate actions.
• Understand business workflows and data flows end‑to‑end.
• Translate business rules and requirements into testable data validation scenarios.
• Design and execute data validation and reconciliation tests for financial transactions and balances, positions, holdings, and ledger data, client, account, security master, and reference data.
• Build and maintain automated data quality tests using Python and PyTest, SQL‑based assertions and reconciliation queries, Python‑based data quality or validation frameworks, databases and data stores, APIs and backend services, and file‑based integrations (CSV, JSON, XML).
• Integrate automated data tests into CI/CD pipelines or scheduled runs.
• Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to clarify requirements and expected data behavior, investigate data issues, and provide clear explanations of data breaks and mismatches.
• Document defects with business context, data evidence, and root‑cause insights.
• Work closely with Product, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and Developers to ensure financial data is reliable, explainable, and trusted.

• 10+ years of experience in Data Testing or SDET roles with strong business and data focus.
• Strong understanding of wealth management or financial services domains.
• Hands‑on experience with Python and PyTest for data testing automation.
• Advanced SQL for data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience validating backend systems, APIs, and integrations from a data perspective.
• Experience with batch processing and data pipelines.
• Ability to understand business rules, calculations, and financial logic, not just schemas.

Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000 a year.
