Licensed Practical Nurse PT Eves UCHC GSYCF (Multiple Vacancies)

Part‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (Medical) for Garden State Youth Correctional Facility (GSYCF) located in Yardville, NJ. The role provides technical nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, administering treatments and procedures within established guidelines while fostering a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is a Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey division that delivers physical, mental health, dental, and sex offender treatment services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system. UCHC operates with a budget of approximately $150 million and employs about 1,000 staff.

• Collect and document patient data; communicate findings to the Registered Nurse to update care plans.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice to implement care plans.
• Educate patients and significant others regarding health conditions and care processes.
• Assist patients and families with discharge preparation and home health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of all patient care activities.

• Valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the facility (own vehicle or alternative means).
• Preferred: at least six (6) months of experience in an acute hospital setting.

• Grade: 215
• Pay Range:
  Minimum 33.510 – Mid Range 34.010 – Maximum 35.030 per hour.
