Why Join Our Team?Princeton House Behavioral Health – Outpatient is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work within the Child and Adolescent unit. We provide a safe, supportive place where children and adolescents can express themselves, learn new coping skills, and begin to feel more in control.
We offer two levels of outpatient care for young people: partial hospitalization (full-day) and intensive outpatient (half-day) programs. Each child receives a thorough evaluation from a board-certified psychiatrist or advanced practice nurse to determine the right level of care and the best program for their needs. Eighteen-year-olds who are still in high school are included in this program.

Scheduling Requirements- As needed, day shift – 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients’ physical and behavioral health needs on a continuous basis
- Respond to or assist with medical emergencies
- Participate in decision‑making, teaching, and coordination of care as part of the multi‑disciplinary team
- Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and their families
- Keep up to date with knowledge of psychotropic medications, including side effects, contraindications, therapeutic levels, and required/advisable health maintenance
- Administer medications as prescribed by providers, including injectable forms that may require outpatient coordination at the time of discharge to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs
- Collect vital signs, weight, height, waist circumference, urine drug screens as ordered or as required by standard policy
- Demonstrate strong organization, therapeutic communication, and leadership skills
- Adhere to all state nursing standards and policies as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures

Work Experience:
15 months of RN experience; previous behavioral health experience - License, Certification or Registration: Active NJ RN license required
$49.96 – $68.99 per hour. The specific rate will be determined based on experience and education.
