Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Clinic at North Mississippi Health Services (NMMC‑Tupelo) is responsible for delivering high‑quality patient care, including scheduling, medication administration, nursing procedures, and patient education. The role also serves as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, and office staff, triaging walk‑in patients and telephone calls. Candidates must exhibit strong communication, problem‑solving, and stress‑management skills while caring for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to facilitate high‑quality patient care, schedule patients, order medication refills, administer medications, work up patients, perform skilled nursing procedures, screen lab/test results, and assist physicians or nurse practitioners.
  • Case management: assess and coordinate care for patients seen at the North MS Medical Clinics.
  • Promote a patient‑focused approach to care delivery.
  • Triage walk‑in patients and telephone calls.
  • Maintain written or computerized records of patient care events (e.g., medications, treatments, procedures).
  • Initiate and conduct patient education, create and develop educational materials, and document teaching provided.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required);
    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Registered Nurse license in the state or Compact State Licensure.
  • 1‑3 years of nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of current technology and practices for providing care to infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professional, respectful working relationships with staff.
  • Team‑building and leadership qualities for role modeling professional nursing practice.
