FTE Social Studies Teacher; Psychology - Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School

Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School is seeking a highly motivated, student-centered high school Social Studies teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a passion for teaching Social Studies, with a commitment to developing standards-based lessons and assessments, setting high expectations for all students, and fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Experience teaching psychology, particularly Advanced Placement Psychology, is highly desired.

• Develop thoughtful standards-based lessons and assessments in United States and World History.
• Set high expectations for all students and utilize scaffolding and differentiation to support diverse learning needs.
• Display a collegial spirit that supports continual professional growth consistent with the educational goals and philosophies of our school community.
• Collaborate with all team members, including special educators, education support professionals, grade‑level teachers, interventionists, and other support personnel.
• Assess students regularly and refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs.
• Communicate regularly with students and families, involving families as partners in their child's education.
• Teach psychology courses, including Advanced Placement Psychology, and incorporate best practices in instruction and assessment for psychology content.

• MA DESE certification in Social Studies for grades 9‑12.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Committed to working with a student-centered model.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa in the United States required.
