Description:

We areseekinga highly organized and computer-savvy Bookkeeper with experience in small business environments, preferably with a background in contracting or flooring industries. The ideal candidate will manage financial records,assist with payroll, accounts payable, andassistin reconciling work orders and invoices using various software platforms including Quick Books Online andQFloors. You will play a key role in ensuringaccuratebookkeeping, supporting the ordering and payment process, and interfacing with contractors as well as customers.

This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintainaccuratebookkeeping records using Quick Books Online andQFloorssoftware.

  • Manage accounts payable, including paying contractors and processing tax invoices with proper coding.

  • Assist with payroll processing and signing checkstimelyand accurately.

  • Reconcile work orders, cross-check invoices, estimates, and categorize receipts to ensure accuracy.

  • Verify orders, shipments, and delivered materialsmatchinvoices and payment requests.

  • Assist with ordering materials andmaintaininginventory records.

  • Provide basic phone support and greet customers professionally.

  • Utilize Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), One Note, Office SharePoint, and other digital tools efficiently.

  • Learn and adapt quickly to new business software and internal systems.

  • Review, correct, and clean up current bookkeeping records and financial discrepancies.

  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial and company information.

  • Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth financial and operational workflows.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or similar role

  • Experience working with contractors or in the flooring/construction industrystronglypreferred.

  • 2+years experience

    Quick

    Books Online is required; any Quick Books experience considered.

  • Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software systems quickly.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, One Note, and SharePoint.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data handling.

  • Ability to decipher work orders, interpret invoices, and manage tax invoice coding.

  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

  • Reliable and trustworthy witha high levelof integrity in handling financial matters.

Job Type:FT or PT – flexible, Monday - Friday
