We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 6th Grade Science Teacher to inspire students through hands-on exploration and inquiry-based learning. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity about the natural world while maintaining a positive classroom environment and supporting the social-emotional growth of our students. Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Education from an accredited college or university.
* Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with one of the following: *
* Elementary Certificate with a 6-8 Science Endorsement
* Science Endorsement (DX) required.
* Strong content knowledge in science, with the ability to teach a range of topics including earth, life, and physical sciences.
* Experience teaching middle school science preferred.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
* Dedication to student learning and a growth mindset approach to teaching.
* Commitment to maintaining a supportive, respectful classroom and school culture.
* Familiarity with PBIS, Restorative Practices, and MTSS models preferred. Skills and

* Develop and implement a science curriculum aligned with Michigan state standards learners.
* Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons to meet the needs of all learners that promote inquiry, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning.
* Assess student learning regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/ guardians.
* Openness to feedback and commitment to continuous professional growth to enhance classroom effectiveness and student success.
* Ability to foster positive, supportive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations for behavior and learning.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community members in support of student achievement.
* Ability to remain calm, objective, and consistent when managing challenging student behaviors.
* Act as a positive representative of the district when interacting with parents, students, staff, and community members. Salary:
