K-5 Instructional Specialist

Summary:

K-5 Instructional Specialist position requires a highly motivated and experienced individual to work as a K-5 Instructional Specialist in Fern Persons Elementary and Olivet Middle School 4-5. This individual will provide instructional support and ongoing, job-embedded professional development for interventionists and classroom teachers through professional learning communities and coaching cycles.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective instructional strategies and materials that align with state standards and district curriculum.

* Provide ongoing professional development and coaching to teachers to improve their instructional practices and student outcomes.

* Analyze student data to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions to support struggling students.

* Assist with the development and implementation of school-wide programs and initiatives to improve student achievement.

* Collaborate with other instructional specialists and district staff to ensure alignment of instructional practices across the district.

* Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding best practices in instruction and assessment.

* Assist with the coordination of assessments and data analysis to inform instruction and decision-making.

* Support the implementation of technology in the classroom to enhance student learning.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in education or related field (Master's degree preferred)

* Valid teaching certification

* Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience in grades K-5

* Knowledge of current research-based instructional practices and assessment strategies

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other staff members

* Experience providing professional development and coaching to teachers

* Experience analyzing student data to inform instruction and decision-making

* Familiarity with technology integration in the classroom
