* Classification IV Part-time position: hours to be determined by building principal.
* School-year position aligned with the student calendar.
* The primary function of the Paraprofessional is to provide support to students.
* Open position in Olivet Middle School 6-8, school year
Qualifications:
* Must possess an Associates (or higher) degree, or have two years of college (60 credits), or have successfully passed the ETS Paraprofessional exam.
* Must successfully complete Nonviolent Crisis Prevention & Intervention Training (CPI)
* Must possess a friendly, positive attitude.
* Excellent work performance, dependability, and confidentiality are required.
* Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to follow directions, take initiative, and support classroom management.
* Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student learning and growth.

* Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
* Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities and student learning.
* Provide individualized or small-group support to reinforce lessons and concepts
* Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, lunchroom, playground, & during transitions as assigned.
* Support positive student behavior and classroom routines.
* Assist students with academic tasks, social-emotional skills, and daily needs.
* Prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials and resources.
* Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success.
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
* Act as a representative of the district when greeting and dealing with parents, community members, vendors, students, and employees.
* Regular dependable attendance is a critical performance factor to ensure high quality customer service.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
