Assistant Key Club Advisor

The HHS Assistant Key Club Advisor will support the Key Club program at Hamilton High School, a student-led organization focused on community service, leadership development, and fostering a spirit of volunteerism among students. This seasonal position will assist the Key Club Advisor in planning, organizing, and executing various club activities and events, while providing guidance and mentorship to club members. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about youth leadership, community service, and will possess strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Key Club Advisor in planning and implementing club meetings, activities, and service projects.
• Collaborate with students to develop leadership skills and encourage participation in club events.
• Help coordinate fundraising activities and community service initiatives.
• Maintain communication with club members, parents, and school administration regarding events and activities.
• Assist in promoting Key Club events through social media, school announcements, and flyers.
• Attend club meetings and events, providing support and guidance to students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment within the club, encouraging all students to participate.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to club activities and achievements.
• Support the Key Club Advisor in mentoring students and developing their leadership skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Key Club Advisor or school administration.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in youth leadership or education is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and staff.
• Passion for community service and youth development.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for club activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Key Club or similar organizations is a plus.
• Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per school board policy.
