QC Laboratory Specialist

Yoh Life Sciences is hiring for a QC Laboratory Specialist on a 12-month contract with our client in the pharmaceutical industry. The QC Laboratory Specialist will perform routine quality control laboratory testing in Microbiology, Wet Chemistry, or Chromatography to support the manufacture and release of products and incoming materials.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM MST

Pay Rate: $25 - 30.00/hr DOE

• Perform sampling and testing according to written methodologies.
• Report accurate, clear, and defensible results.
• Perform testing in accordance with applicable GMP requirements and quality systems.
• Understand the scientific principles and method validation associated with assigned assays.
• Review GMP assay data and communicate findings to manufacturing teams.
• Participate in laboratory investigations, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Support non-routine testing, studies, and projects.
• Support qualification, operation, and scheduled maintenance of laboratory equipment, including automated and computerized systems.
• Ensure laboratory equipment and systems remain functional and validated.
• Escalate equipment, assay, safety, and quality issues as appropriate.
• Maintain the assigned laboratory area in a state of inspection readiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree, preferably a Bachelor of Science.
• Scientific education with an understanding of laboratory testing concepts, principles, and mathematical calculations.
• Previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Previous GMP experience preferred.
• Microbiology experience preferred for one opening.
• Chromatography or Wet Chemistry laboratory experience preferred for one opening.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be able to work fully on-site.
• Position may require flexibility to work shifts, holidays, and/or weekends based on business needs.
