Leave Replacement Special Education Elementary Teacher

September 2026 - December 2026

Mac Afee Road Elementary School

Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum.

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: K-6 Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher of the Handicapped
• Experience with students who demonstrate emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as some learning differences
• Ability to teach in a self-contained classroom for Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies with strong teaching skills, enthusiasm, and dedication
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

10-month contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and applicable negotiated agreements.

Salary range for the 26/27 SY:
Step 1 BA/BS ($68,023) to Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380). Compensation is commensurate with experience and education.
