LTR General Music (K-5)

We are seeking a skilled K-5 general music educator to foster an inclusive, engaging, student-centered environment designed to cultivate foundational music literacy and artistic expression through critical thinking and communication.

Positions available at elementary schools

• Replacement for teachers on a leave of absence
• Length of positions may vary

Requirements:

• NJ Teacher of Music (Standard, Provisional, CEAS, CE).
• Deep understanding of the 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Visual and Performing Arts, with a specific focus on the General Music strand.
• Intentional integration of Universal Design for Learning principles and culturally responsive practices into instruction.
• Effective classroom management strategies tailored to an active, participatory environment.
• Skill in utilizing varied music technologies and interactive tools to support and engage diverse learners.
• Capacity to successfully direct school concerts and community performances.
• Ability to manage instructional schedules and professional responsibilities seamlessly across multiple assigned school buildings while adapting to distinct campus cultures.
• Flexibility, organization, and resourcefulness necessary to maintain high instructional momentum when pushing into general education classrooms with a mobile setup.
• Basic to fluent Spanish capability.
• Successful clearance of criminal history
• All Substitutes must be BOE approved

• Days 1-20 - $130.00 a day

Benefits:

Leave replacement teachers receive benefits after 5 consecutive months of working (single health benefits).

In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off.
