LTR Teacher of Art (K-5)We are seeking a skilled K-5 visual art educator to foster an inclusive, engaging, student-centered environment designed to cultivate foundational artistic literacy and expression through critical thinking and exploration.
Positions available at elementary schools- Replacement for teachers on a leave of absence
- Length of positions may vary
- New Jersey Instructional Certification Teacher of Art (CE, CEAS, Provisional, or Standard)
- Ability to instruct primary and intermediate-grade students (K-5)
- Willingness to work with students at all levels
- Ability to travel between two buildings
- Knowledge of 2020 Visual and Performing Arts Standards
- Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)
- Bilingual (a plus)
- Successful clearance of criminal history
- All Substitutes must be BOE approved
- Intentional integration of Universal Design for Learning principles and culturally responsive practices into instruction.
- Effective classroom management strategies tailored to an active, participatory environment.
- Skill in utilizing varied media and tools to support and engage diverse learners.
- Capacity to successfully coordinate community exhibits.
- Ability to manage instructional schedules and professional responsibilities seamlessly across multiple assigned school buildings while adapting to distinct campus cultures.
- Flexibility, organization, and resourcefulness necessary to maintain high instructional momentum when pushing into general education classrooms with a mobile setup.
- Basic to fluent Spanish capability is a plus.

Leave replacement teachers receive benefits after 5 consecutive months of working (single health benefits). In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off.
