Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Special Education Teacher certification with eligibility for assignments in New Jersey
• Experience or strong interest working with elementary students in inclusive settings
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction, classroom accommodations, and specialized teaching strategies
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Passion for fostering a supportive, welcoming environment where every student has a voice

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs within the general education classroom
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify lessons and support inclusion
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods and behavioral management techniques
• Regularly assess student progress, making data-driven adjustments to maximize learning
• Serve as a resource for families and staff regarding special education best practices and compliance
• Maintain thorough records in line with state and federal requirements
