Educational Assistant (ERI)The Special Education Assistant works under the direct supervision of a certified teacher to support students in our ERI (Emotional Regulation Impairment) program
Responsibilities include:- support students who struggle with emotional self-regulation and behavioral challenges:
- assist academic tasks under a teacher’s supervision
- implement behavior plans
- maintain a safe, structured classroom environment
- de-escalate, and reinforce positive social skills under a teacher's supervision
- track daily behavior data
- 7 hours per day
- 5 days per week
- 185 days per year
- 10 month position
- High School Diploma
- 60 College credits preferred

Salary:- As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level
- Minimum $29,250- maximum $40,713
In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.

It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
