Electrical Project Manager – Switchgear & Power Distribution

, we want to talk with you. We're partnering with a growing electrical equipment manufacturer looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of custom-engineered customer projects from order through engineering, manufacturing, testing and final delivery
.

This isn't a general Project Manager position. The right person understands electrical power distribution equipment, can comfortably work with technical drawings and specifications, and knows how to keep complex customer projects moving through an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment.

You'll be the person connecting the customer with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, vendors and internal leadership throughout the life of the project.

You'll:

• Manage custom electrical equipment projects from contract/order handoff through final delivery
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project
• Coordinate engineering drawings, technical submittals, approvals and revisions
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing to keep projects on schedule
• Review customer specifications, electrical drawings and project requirements
• Manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, documentation and changing requirements
• Identify long-lead items, technical concerns and schedule risks early
• Coordinate purchasing and outside vendors as needed
• Manage change orders and maintain alignment on scope, cost and delivery expectations
• Track equipment through manufacturing, testing, shipment and final delivery
• Provide clear, proactive communication to customers and internal leadership
• Troubleshoot technical, scheduling and commercial issues as they arise

We're specifically interested in candidates with direct experience around electrical power distribution equipment
, including some combination of:

• Switchgear
• Switchboards
• Panel boards
• Low- and/or medium-voltage power distribution
• Breakers and bus systems
• Transformers and related electrical components
• Custom or engineered-to-order electrical equipment

You should be comfortable interpreting electrical drawings, one-lines, riser diagrams, panel schedules, technical specifications and customer requirements
.

Experience with applicable standards such as UL 891, UL 67 and/or UL 1558 is highly valued.

An engineering or related technical degree is preferred, but we're equally interested in candidates who have built deep technical knowledge through hands‑on experience in the electrical equipment industry.

Candidates within commuting distance are preferred; however, for someone with exceptional directly related electrical equipment experience, there may be additional flexibility in how the role is structured.
