Summary

Rutgers University seeks a Behavior Analyst (Outreach) for the Douglass Development Disability Center, reporting to the Associate Director of Consultation and Communications. Key duties include supervising and monitoring services and programs related to the education of children and adults with autism and their families within an assigned caseload through the DDDC's Outreach unit, ensuring best practice applied behavior analysis procedures are maintained and applied in community settings.

Salary

Minimum: $82,166;
Mid: $104,002;
Max: $125,837. May vary based on qualifications, experience, availability of funds, market benchmarks, and internal equity.

Working Hours

Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, fully on‑site.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Speech or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals with autism.
Certifications / Licenses
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience training and supervising other staff in delivery of behavior analytic services.
  • Advanced knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Physically capable of safely providing crisis management techniques including restraining, lifting, blocking individuals with challenging behaviors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specific training in functional analysis, treatment analysis, single case design, and preference assessments.
Equipment Utilized
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Employee must be physically active; duties may involve running and playing active games with individuals from 2–21 years.
Special Conditions
  • Must agree to undergo and authorize background checks (fingerprint, criminal history, child abuse record) and may incur associated costs.
  • Successful applicant must consent to Mantoux test for tuberculosis and may be required to receive Hepatitis B vaccination (unless waived in writing).
  • Offer contingent upon successful completion of pre‑employment screenings.
  • Safe driving record required.
