Cardiac Cath Lab Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION TECHNICIAN performs a variety of technical and supportive care tasks to assist physicians in performing complex and invasive cardiac catheterization procedures. Works under the direct supervision of the physician.

13 weeks.

Shift time: 7a-7:30p, 3x12s or 4x10s.

Daily Caseload: 3-6, rotating between about 8 techs.

1+ Years of experience required.

First time travelers are not accepted.

On-Call every 2-3 weekends. On-call schedule is Fri: 7p-7a, Sat: 24 hours, 7a-7a; and Sun: 24 hours, 7a-7a. No block schedules.

Locals accepted.

AART and NJ license must be in-hand. BLS, ACLS required.

Scrub, diagnostic right and left heart cath, interventional cath, CTO, structural heart, ablations, devices (including ICD, Pacemakers, loop recorders), interpretation/management of dysrhythmias.

Will accept proficiency in either cath or EP lab procedures, both skillsets highly desired.

Equipment experience required:
Sterile procedure and equipment set up, rotablator, IABP, closure devices, balloon inflator, and stents.

Charting System: EPIC, Cupid and Merge.
