We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and dedicated Activities Director to lead and oversee our Recreation/Activities Department. This role is responsible for developing and coordinating meaningful activities that promote the physical, mental, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of our residents
.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors in a healthcare or long-term care setting and a genuine passion for creating engaging programs that encourage socialization, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate engaging activity programs based on residents’ individual interests, abilities, and needs.
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the Recreation/Activities Department in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develop and maintain department policies and procedures in collaboration with facility leadership.
- Work closely with nursing and other interdisciplinary team members to support residents’ overall well-being.
- Coordinate individual and group activities that encourage social interaction, cognitive stimulation, creativity, and physical engagement.
- Assist with evaluating activity-related functions and identifying tasks that may involve potential exposure to blood or bodily fluids in accordance with infection control practices.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records related to resident activities and participation.
- Ensure the department operates in compliance with facility policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- $50000-$52000 annuallly

- At least 2 years of full-time experience in a patient activities program within a healthcare setting
. - Must meet applicable state requirements for qualification, including completion of an approved training course,.
- Experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, or long-term care setting is strongly preferred.
