Summary

Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resource Specialist will support multiple facilities by providing HR administrative, compliance, reporting, and analytics support across the HR function. This role is responsible for supporting HRIS data integrity, tracking key workforce and compliance metrics, preparing reports for leadership review, and assisting with digital solutions that improve HR processes. The Human Resource Specialist will also support HR Operations and Learning & Development practices in accordance with company policy, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and records across employee lifecycle, training, compliance, performance management, and succession processes.
  • Compile and analyze HR metrics, reports, and dashboards to track compliance, training completion, performance cycle status, succession progress, and workforce trends.
  • Support performance management and Talent Chess/succession cycles by tracking completion, reporting progress, and following up on required actions.
  • Monitor required compliance and safety training completion, identify gaps, and coordinate follow-up with HR, managers, and associates.
  • Facilitate all core training administration within Success Factors, including course creation, enrollment, completion tracking, Success Factors updates, and reporting.
  • Assist with digital HR solutions that improve reporting accuracy, process efficiency, compliance visibility, and user experience.
  • Conduct routine audits of HR records, system data, training, and compliance documentation to support accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries while identifying process gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain electronic HR, training, investigation, and compliance files in accordance with company and legal requirements.
  • Support safety-focused initiatives and application of safety awareness to HR processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication, customer service, and follow-up skills with the ability to support employees, managers, and HR/business leaders.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, reporting cycles, and compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employment compliance, and HR data/reporting processes.
  • Ability to compile, review, and summarize HR metrics, trends, gaps, and follow-up actions.
  • Experience with HRIS, learning management, performance management, succession planning, or reporting systems preferred;
    Success Factors experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; comfortable using digital tools to improve tracking and workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience utilizing AI, automation, HR analytics, and digital solutions to enhance reporting, compliance tracking, workforce insights, and operational efficiency preferred.
