RoleThe Human Resources Generalist is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the daily execution of human resources operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position partners with employees, supervisors, and leadership to deliver strong execution in employee relations, engagement, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, training coordination, benefits administration, HRIS data integrity, and day-to-day HR operations.
This role is intended for a professional who works with urgency, sound judgment, and minimal oversight while strengthening the credibility, responsiveness, and consistency of the HR function. The successful candidate will help maintain an audit-ready HR department through disciplined documentation, accurate records, consistent workflows, and reliable follow-up, while building capability for future growth.
Essential Job Functions &Key Responsibilities
- Safety First Focus:
Partner with operations and organizational safety leaders to ensure proper on-boarding of safety-related training requirements, support of an overall comprehensive safety culture, and consolidate KPIs for reporting. - Employee Relations & HR Support:
Serve as a primary HR contact for employee questions, concerns, and routine issue resolution; elevate sensitive matters appropriately; support a professional, fair, and trustworthy employee experience. - Employee Engagement:
Support and help execute employee engagement, recognition, communication, and retention initiatives that reinforce a positive, accountable, mission-driven culture true to our values, People, Accountability, Commitment, Excellence, and Service (PACES). - HRIS and Data Integrity:
Serve as a subject matter resource for Paycor or similar HRIS platforms; maintain accurate employee records, status changes, attendance-related data, reporting, and document retention. Ensure proper and timely communication with business partners, including IT, to ensure proper access and secure data systems. - Audit Readiness and Records Management:
Maintain HR files, forms, records, and tracking tools in an accurate, consistent, and audit-ready condition to support compliance, accessibility, retention, and operational discipline. - Recruiting and Onboarding:
Coordinate recruiting activities including postings, scheduling, candidate communications, interview logistics, pre-employment steps, onboarding, orientation, and new hire documentation. - Compliance and Policy Administration:
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws; support policy communication, handbook administration, required postings, and HR-related audits and reporting. - Payroll Processing:
Complete payroll activities timely with proper review and validation in coordination with finance to ensure accurate processing and reporting. - Benefits Administration:
Support benefit enrollments, employee questions, qualifying life event changes, leave administration coordination, and communication with external providers. - Training and Development Coordination:
Assist with new hire orientation, HR-related training, policy rollouts, and required compliance training; support managers with performance management follow-up and documentation discipline. - Attendance and Workforce Administration:
Manage attendance-related processes and reporting with accuracy and timeliness; help ensure policy adherence, proper documentation, and effective communication with employees and leaders. - Reporting and Continuous Improvement:
