Departmental Staff (a role in a specific department. Ex: Organizer, Finance Assistant, Social Media Manager)

Rebecca Bennett is seeking a Digital Content Associate to join our campaign team. This role will assist with all aspects content creation and posting, including drafting copy, pitching content ideas, developing a content calendar, and basic video editing and graphic design. This position will have opportunities for rapid growth in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter, have a passion for Democratic politics, excellent writing skills, strong organizational skills, and the desire to learn new skills as they go.

• Drafting social copy for multiple platforms, as well as long-form pieces for Substack
• Managing a content calendar and ensuring timely approvals and posting
• Pitching and executing on creative ideas for social content
• Attending events to assist with capturing content, including photography & videography

• 1-2 years of experience in the areas of social media content production, photography, and videography. Familiarity with programs such as Canva, Capcut, or Adobe Suite
• Superb writer with the ability to quickly produce polished content
• Demonstrated work experience involving internet culture and the ability to spot applicable trends
• The ability and desire to work closely with a team and communicate effectively amid changing conditions
• Willingness to work irregular campaign hours, including some nights, weekends or holidays

This is a full-time role based in
** Somerville, NJ,
** and the start date is ASAP. Transportation is not provided; candidates must have their own, reliable transportation. New Jersey ties are preferred but not required.

Compensation
: $4,500/month
