Registered Nurse – OR (CVOR) travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont, United States.

Start date:

August 24, 2026 for a 16-week contract. Weekly pay: $2,947 to $3,032 per week. Shift: rotating 12-hour shifts (days/evenings). Setting: hospital-based operating room in a large, academic teaching environment. This role requires scrub and circulating duties and may include float to other OR suites as needed. Travel - Temporary Assignment.

• Required experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years OR RN with cardiovascular/open heart OR experience; prior travel experience
• Setting:
  Large, academic, teaching hospital OR
• Epic experience required within the past 2 years
• Schedule considerations:
  No block scheduling; one full weekend of call every 5 weeks; flexible to meet unit needs

• Provide perioperative nursing care as scrub and circulating RN for cardiovascular/open heart procedures; anticipate needs of the surgical team
• Prepare the patient, set up equipment, verify procedure and consent, and ensure sterile technique throughout cases
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage instruments, counts, and implants, and support anesthesia as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, and other OR staff; maintain equipment readiness and safety standards
• May float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.) and adapt to varied case types
• Accurately document in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and participate in handoffs and post-anesthesia care coordination

• Active RN license to practice in Vermont (or eligible to practice in the state of assignment)
• BLS required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years OR RN experience with recent cardiovascular/open heart OR competency
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Proficient in EPIC within the past 2 years
• Must scrub and circulate; flexible with schedule; able to handle day/evening shifts and weekend call as required
• Ability to work in a large, academic teaching hospital OR environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

• Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays to facilitate onboarding

• Clear communication with scheduling to minimize block scheduling where possible
