Position: Manheim Mobile Vehicle Condition Inspector, Atlantic City, NJ

Mobile Vehicle Condition Inspector – Manheim Mobile Inspector II

Location/Remote: Flexible work option; must live in the specified city, state, or region.
Travel: Required.
Work Shift: Day.
Compensation: Hourly base pay $18.22 – $27.36/hour; may be eligible for additional commission or incentive programs.

Job Overview

The Mobile Inspector functions as a key member of the Manheim Mobile Inspections team, conducting on‑site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory. The role requires accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of vehicle condition, building strong dealer relationships, and driving participation in Manheim’s mobile inspection services.

Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection & Documentation:
    Conduct thorough inspections following Manheim standards; document exterior, interior, mechanical, and VIN information.
  • Client Engagement & Territory Management:
    Build trust with dealer clients, educate them on service value, and proactively increase inspection volume.
  • Reporting, Tools &

    Collaboration:

    Submit daily activity and production reports; use  for tracking; collaborate with Wholesale Specialists and other teams.
  • Safety, Compliance & Standards:
    Maintain production expectations, follow safety procedures, participate in Safety Excellence initiatives, and comply with inspection standards.
Qualifications

Entry Level – Mobile Inspector – Level 1

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0–1 year of automotive‑related experience preferred; basic automotive knowledge preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands within required time frames.

Intermediate – Mobile Inspector – Level 2

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field; alternative combinations accepted.
  • 1–2 years of automotive‑related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands within required time frames.

Senior – Mobile Inspector – Senior Level

  • High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of experience in a related field; alternative combinations accepted.
  • Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) required; 2–3 years of automotive‑related experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior vehicle inspection experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands within required time frames.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship; no OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship.
  • Must pass a pre‑employment drug test; drug‑free workplace policy applies.
