JCMLiving is seeking an energetic, customer‑focused Leasing Specialist to join our leasing team at our Nutley, NJ community. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and exceeding leasing goals.

As the first point of contact for prospective residents, you will represent our community with professionalism and enthusiasm while guiding prospects through every step of the leasing process—from initial inquiry to move‑in. Successful candidates are organized, technology‑savvy, and driven by results.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission.

• Deliver an exceptional leasing experience to prospective and current residents
• Respond promptly to phone, email, and online inquiries
• Schedule and conduct professional apartment tours
• Build rapport with prospects and effectively present community features and amenities
• Follow up with prospective residents to maximize leasing opportunities
• Prepare lease agreements and related documentation accurately and efficiently
• Maintain prospect information using property management and CRM software
• Support resident retention through outstanding customer service and relationship building
• Assist with rent collection and resident account inquiries
• Coordinate and follow up on resident maintenance requests
• Participate in community marketing initiatives, resident events, and outreach programs
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions and competing communities

• Previous leasing, sales, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred
• Property management or market‑rate apartment leasing experience is a plus
• Strong closing and negotiation skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
• Comfortable working with computers, CRM systems, and property management software
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Weekend availability required as business needs dictate
