About the Company
Our client is an innovative climate-tech company advancing next-generation solutions for sustainable chemicals, fuels, and carbon-based products. The company focuses on scaling technologies from pilot to commercial deployment, partnering with key industry players, and building value chains that enable meaningful decarbonization. As they move into commercial scale-up, they’re hiring a commercial leader to drive partnerships, offtake agreements, and full-cycle commercialization strategy.

In this role, you will help drive business development and commercialization efforts. You will:
- Build and manage a customer and partner funnel across target markets.
- Engage directly with prospective customers, partners, and other value-chain participants.
- Support business development activities including customer outreach, partner engagement, account management, and commercial follow-up.
- Map complex value chains, identifying key participants, requirements, commercial pathways, and potential barriers to adoption.
- Work with technical and leadership teams to understand product applications, customer requirements, site considerations, and commercialization needs.
- Help evaluate market segments, customer pain points, pricing considerations, and go-to-market opportunities.
- Support the development of commercial materials, business cases, and internal decision-making tools.
- Contribute to techno-economic analysis, project assessments, and financial modeling as needed.
- Help structure partnerships, offtake discussions, site collaborations, and other commercial arrangements as the company scales.
- Travel to meet customers, partners, and stakeholders as needed, typically 20–30% of the time.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a driven, customer-facing commercial professional with a strong technical foundation and the ability to navigate complex markets. The ideal candidate brings curiosity, energy, problem-solving ability, and a practical mindset for building something new.
Experience & Skills
- 1–5 years of professional experience.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, such as applications engineering, sales, business development, technical sales, customer success, or a related commercial function.
- Strong technical foundation (engineering or science degree preferred), enabling credible techno-economic analysis and site-specific assessments.
- Strong interest in climate technology, chemicals, sustainable fuels, renewable energy, industrial decarbonization, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with customers, partners, or external stakeholders.
- Ability to think in systems and understand how complex value chains come together.
- Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with both technical and commercial audiences.
- High energy, strong work ethic, and determination to figure out how to get things done.
- Hands-on, flexible, startup-oriented mindset.
- Strong openness, curiosity, and willingness to learn quickly.
