Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily operations. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of coordinating shipments with various logistics companies, including UPS, Fed Ex, and freight forwarding providers. Basic computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and email, are required. This is a hands-on position requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and process incoming and outgoing shipments using UPS, Fed Ex, freight carriers, and freight forwarding companies.
• Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, documentation, and coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries.
• Receive, inspect, organize, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
• Enter and maintain accurate shipping and receiving information in ERP systems.
• Track shipments and communicate with carriers, vendors, customers, and internal teams regarding delivery status or issues.
• Maintain an organized shipping and receiving area and assist with inventory and other warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of UPS, Fed Ex, freight carriers, and/or freight forwarding processes.
• Basic computer skills, including email and ERP system experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 40 lbs. and work effectively in a hands-on environment.
