Saica Pack US is seeking a motivated and career-driven Controller to join our growing corrugated packaging manufacturing team in Hamilton, Ohio. This opportunity is ideal for an individual with a strong foundation in accounting and finance who is eager to learn the Saica way of working, develop within a manufacturing environment, and grow into a long-term financial leadership role.
The ideal candidate will be highly trainable, adaptable, analytical, and willing to work collaboratively with operations, production, HR, purchasing, and corporate finance teams. This role will support plant financial operations including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, cost tracking, financial reporting, and P&L analysis. Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong accounting fundamentals and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with preparation and management of plant budgets and financial forecasts
- Support monthly financial closing activities and reporting
- Analyze plant Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and identify cost trends
- Assist with variance analysis related to labor, production, scrap, overtime, and operational expenses
- Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
- Help maintain accurate financial records and SAP system data integrity
- Partner with operational leaders to understand production costs and efficiency opportunities
- Prepare management reports and KPI summaries for plant leadership
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Participate in inventory tracking and cycle count reconciliation
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Collaborate with corporate finance and shared service teams
- Learn and apply Saica financial procedures, reporting standards, and operational philosophy
- Continuously seek process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Demonstrate willingness to learn the Saica culture and way of working
- Be adaptable and coachable
- Build strong working relationships across departments
- Show initiative and ownership in financial processes
- Develop strong operational understanding of manufacturing costs and plant performance

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, additional CPA certificate preferred (or in process of obtaining).
