Full-Time | Automotive Service Department

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Service Lane Porter / Inspector to join our Service Department.

This position plays an important role in the customer experience by helping the Service Advisors during the vehicle check-in process, completing basic vehicle inspections, and keeping the service drive and parking areas organized and moving efficiently.

• Assist Service Advisors with the vehicle check-in and write-up process
• Help complete the initial inspection of customer vehicles
• Perform basic visual inspections of vehicles for existing damage, tire condition, lights, warning indicators, and other visible concerns
• Safely park and move customer vehicles throughout the dealership and service lot
• Help manage the flow of vehicles coming into and leaving the Service Department
• Retrieve customer vehicles and bring them to the Service Drive for pickup
• Assist with customer vehicle deliveries when needed
• Maintain an organized Service Drive and surrounding areas
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and vehicle-handling policies
• Provide a professional and courteous experience for every customer
• Assist Service Advisors and Management with daily Service Department needs
• Perform other Service Department duties as needed

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Reliable and dependable attendance
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with customers and dealership employees
• Ability to safely operate and move a variety of vehicles
• Basic knowledge of automobiles is preferred, but not required
• Previous dealership or automotive experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person

This is more than a traditional porter position. The Service Lane Porter / Inspector is an important part of the Service Department and customer experience.

You will help make sure vehicles are properly checked in, inspected, documented, parked, and ready for the next step in the repair process.
