General Description:
Plan and develop with families an individualized program that establishes a caring and professional relationship and fosters a climate of mutual trust and respect. Use a strengths‑based approach to support positive parent‑child bonding and nurturing relationships. Work in parents’ homes to strengthen their knowledge of child development, teach them how children grow and learn, and plan and conduct educational activities that meet the child’s intellectual, physical, emotional and social needs according to the agency’s curricula.
Partner with families to ensure children have current health requirements and developmental screenings within mandated timelines. Accurately document and track billable time and manage a caseload to meet home‑visit number requirements. Collaborate with other providers for children 0–3 years to facilitate a seamless service system, connect families with community resource referrals, and empower families toward self‑sufficiency.

- Bachelor’s degree in social work, family studies, early childhood education or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
- Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with young children and families, preferably with at‑risk populations.
- Experience establishing partnerships with families.
- Knowledge of community resources, public schools, preschool placement and transition options.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Flexible schedule to meet family needs.
- Excellent organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
- Computer proficiency appropriate to the role.
- Good attendance record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license with good driving record and daily access to a private insured vehicle during work hours.
- Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable disease.
Salary and work year are established by the governing board. Employee must remain free of alcohol or non‑prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout employment.
