Site Superintendents will be responsible for supervising and scheduling all concrete activities at local job sites, directing foremen, making sure jobs are being completed on time and on budget, and ensuring quality and safety requirements are being met. The responsibilities below are representative but not limited to the duties for this position.
Key Roles- Supervising all aspects of the job site, including safety and quality standards
- Communicating with owners and owners’ representatives on a consistent basis
- Resolving conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claims
- Instructing field staff on processes, policies, and procedures essential to the project
- Planning and supervising field activities, such as method of construction, manpower, material quantities, equipment, and schedules
- Working closely with office staff on necessary production rates, construction methods, and schedules
- Participating in Level 10 meetings with local office staff
- Continuously expanding knowledge and use of industry best practices and innovation
- Solving problems as they arise by using available knowledge and resources
- Understanding and applying the Company’s labor relations policies
- Communicating and upholding the Company’s commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics, and ensuring the same for the entire team
- Other relevant tasks as assigned
- At least five years in concrete or heavy civil construction
- Creative and results‑oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self‑motivation
- Excellent computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely in a positive manner with team members
