Account Operations Specialist II
The Account Operations Specialist II manages account liaison duties between Cox Automotive and auction vendors/clients. Responsibilities include coordinating initiatives and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met while balancing a blend of client engagement, inventory management, and reconditioning oversight. The role is based at a specified Cox location and is compensated hourly at a base rate of $20.10 – $30.10 per hour, with potential additional incentives.
Responsibilities- Coordinating and executing account SLAs.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for auction vendors and clients.
- Engaging with clients to understand requirements, upsell CAI products and services, and ensuring agreed work is completed to client expectations.
- Offering solutions to ensure mutually beneficial sales processes for both the client and Cox.
- Coordinating with auction personnel and other stakeholders across all aspects of customer engagement.
- Resolving client issues for accounts ranging from simple to complex, broad‑scope accounts.
- Providing exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns regarding vehicle condition or discrepancies.
- Coordinating vehicle run processes and maintaining direct communication with auction departments to ensure proper movement, organization of client inventory, and timely completion of reconditioning services.
- Examining vehicles in the sales lineup to ensure standards and quality, completing reconditioning estimates, coordinating and approving reconditioning services, and conducting condition reports and imaging audits.
- Educating clients on auction processes and recommending or upselling Manheim/CAI products and services based on client needs.
- Demonstrating effective prioritization skills and professionalism in client relationships, and assisting in resolving client issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining strict adherence to Cox standards and guidelines regarding reconditioning services, ensuring consistent quality and accuracy per client SLA guidelines.
- Proficient use of computer software, including Microsoft Office applications and other internal business platforms.
- Visibly demonstrating a safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
- Actively participating in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Performing any other duties assigned.
- Minimum: High‑School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or an equivalent degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED combined with 5 years’ experience in a related field. Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
- Preferred:
- Prior experience in vehicle reconditioning and/or general auto body knowledge.
- Self‑starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
