Hamilton High School (UIC: N3016B) in Hamilton, OH (45 minutes from downtown Cincinnati) is seeking a retired Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard (E-6 through E-9) applicant to fill an open Naval Science Instructor (NSI) vacancy. The position will be available on 07 February 2025. School district is allowing new hire to come aboard as early as 08 November 2024 to allow for a turn over with current NSI.
All applicants must be certified by the Navy and expect a 12-month contract at more than the minimum pay salary. The unit is extremely competitive in all aspects of JROTC Academics, Drill, Marksmanship, Orienteering and Physical Fitness. In addition, the program is known for its total commitment to the local community, including all Veterans organizations. The unit averages 110 to 125 active cadets and is one of the premier NJROTC Programs regularly attending Navy National Championships in academics, drill and orienteering.
The program enjoys great support from parents, school district, local community and Veterans organizations allowing the unit to continue to be very active. The cadets participate in team practices both before and after school and directly support all school and district events throughout the year. Applicants must understand they are expected to accept an equal share of collateral coaching duties for the NJROTC program as well as participate in community service, field trips, fundraising, and two or three weeks of summer leadership training camps.
