The Ross Local School District is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Long-Term Substitute Preschool Teacher for Elda Elementary School for an anticipated 12-week assignment during the school year. This position is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for our youngest learners.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for preschool/early childhood education
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and support personnel
- Knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with early learning standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor and assess student progress
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff
- Maintain accurate records and follow district policies and procedures
- Position is anticipated to last approximately 12 weeks
- Start date to align with the beginning of the school year (exact dates to be determined)
